Dakman Company's Training on Data Collection for Farmers in EUDR-Compliant Production Areas

In a bid to ensure compliance with the EUDR, Dakman Company, in collaboration with IDH, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD), and local authorities, conducted training on data collection for farmers in the Compact Zone of Dak Lak province such as Ea Kiet, Ea Tar, and Cư Dlie M'nong communes

The training aimed to equip local government officials, agricultural extension workers, and village management boards on the proper use of survey questionnaires and the process of collecting data from farmers in EUDR-compliant production areas. After the training, Dakman Company distributed 11,000 survey forms to the participants, allowing them to start collecting data in their respective villages immediately. The data collection process is expected to be completed by May 31, 2024, in line with the schedule set by the district authorities.

The training covered the EUDR, which prohibits deforestation and forest degradation, and guided how to fill out the data forms accurately. This effort is part of the implementation of Decision No. 2220/QD-UBND issued by the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee on November 1, 2023, and the subsequent directives from the District People's Committee.
