Training on the Data Collection Software for Stakeholders (EUDR) in the Cu M’gar District

Cu M'gar District, April 23-26, 2024 - the Cu M'gar District People's Committee, in collaboration with IDH and consultants, organised four training sessions for commune-level officials and staff responsible for the Cu M'gar Compact Program. The training focused on the use of the Data Collection Software for Coffee Farmers (EUDR), developing a database for the coffee production area in Cu M'gar District, and complying with the EUDR.

Two training sessions were held for surveyors - staff responsible for implementing project components under the Cu M'gar Compact Program. Another two sessions were for instructors from the communes and towns overseeing the program. IDH and consultants provided information on the "Implementation of Solutions to Comply with the EUDR in Dak Lak" plan for the coffee stakeholder, as well as on the content, methods, tools, and steps involved in data collection and surveying. They were also introduced to the software and guided on how to install and use it on smartphones, tablets, and laptops, and practiced conducting surveys and entering data into forms on the software.

The training aimed to enhance the capacity and technical skills of the surveyors and instructors from the communes and towns in using the software to collect data on coffee production areas in Cư M'gar District, ensuring the timely completion of the database by the end of May 2024. It will form the basis for developing the Dak Lak coffee industry database and the broader Vietnamese coffee sector information-sharing mechanism with the EU.
