We are very proud to share that JDE is the first brand to source from an official SourceUp Compact. JDE is now using SourceUp to inform sourcing decisions in line with its sustainability strategy. Coffee from Di Linh and Krong Nan Compacts showed a 60% lower carbon footprint in 2019/20 in comparison to the 2015/16 crop (JDE Annual Report). Besides thanks to the Production, Protection, Inclusion (PPI) approach farmers saw a 20% increase of their income. Through SourceUp, collaboration towards more sustainable supply chains is possible. It connects markets with producing areas for responsible sourcing at scale by linking stakeholders on the ground and along supply chains. By supporting a compact, increased transparency and relevant data sharing, companies like JDE can fulfil their sustainability commitments and raise the bar of sustainability in entire sourcing regions.
