About

SourceUp is an online platform that connects buyers and other stakeholders in agricultural commodity supply chains with landscape and jurisdiction initiatives in production areas.

SourceUp's mission is to establish landscape-level engagement (i.e., engagement and investment) as a norm for sustainable sourcing in global supply chains. Through this increased engagement, SourceUp aims to contribute to the green, smart and inclusive development of production regions and to the expansion of sustainable trade.

SourceUp provides an online platform where landscape initiatives and buyers can connect, with the goal of increasing private sector awareness of the landscape approach, improving easy access to information about landscape initiatives, as well as increasing the availability of reliable impact data in line with the company's sustainability commitments.

The platform and its reporting functionalities increase the visibility, transparency, and credibility of the initiatives in the featured scenario and make it easier for companies to engage with them.

SourceUp typically hosts landscape-based landscape initiatives where agricultural and forestry production and/or processing activities are taking place, linked to local or global supply chains.

Most of the production scenarios presented in SourceUp predominantly produce palm oil, soy, beef, cocoa, coffee, cotton, paper and packaging (PPP) and/or rubber. In practice, all landscapes produce a mixture of cash crops and food crops. Examples of other commodities produced in the landscapes in SourceUp are: pepper, cassia, corn, fruits, vegetables, wheat, rice, cassava, and spices.  SourceUp can cover any commodity from the landscapes shown.

Any initiative that identifies as a landscape initiative can appear on SourceUp. Early-stage initiatives can also be presented, since public visibility on the SourceUp platform can contribute to strengthening the initiative.
