Focus area covers 1,215,000 ha in the following districts: Bengkalis, Siak, Pelalawan, Indragiri Hulu and Kampar. This represents 25% of the total size of the districts.

Riau is a major producer of palm oil and paper, but its protected areas are still vulnerable to exploitation by industries and smallholders. Despite government efforts, it's essential for all parties to collaborate to ensure that production is sustainable. Earthworm plays a vital role in this effort by promoting responsible practices through collective action initiatives.
