As identification of the OSC site continues, the Conservation & Biodiversity Unit (CBU) has started community engagement work to slowly build trust and a network with nearby local communities. To that end, while aiming to build agency among female members of the community in conservation, a 3D Map of Mansuli Hill within the Sungai Pin Conservation Area (SPnCA) was co-developed in a participatory exercise with the women's group from nearby villages.

Culturally, women have also been actively involved in enrichment planting activities conducted by Koperasi Pelancongan Batu Puteh (KOPEL)- a local community tourism cooperative- as Implementing Partner, together with Nestlé, to restore degraded riparian and lowland forests within SPnCA. To date and within the project duration, a total of 107,412 trees have been planted, recording a healthy mortality rate of approx. 50-60%.
